Adam Linens Plain Dyed Poly Cotton Duvet Quilt Cover Bed Set With Pillow Cases All Sizes (Cream, Double)

I bought two of these duvet cover sets. One in cream and one in chocolate brown. The fit is good enough for a standard double bed, approx. 200 x 200cm, and the two pillow cases, approx. 50 x 75cm, fit most of my existing pillows. Fabric is a blend of 50% cotton and 50% polyester which makes for easy washing, I use a minimum cycle at 40 degrees, and cool tumble drying. You will need to iron the cover after drying if you want it to continue looking pretty. The material really does crease.

You do get what you pay for and this is a budget price duvet set. It’s not the best quality and the thin material allows the quilt to move about quite a lot inside the cover. It’s also thin enough for you to see through in the pale colours. I bought the cover for a spare bed where it won’t get a lot of use and it’s OK, what I expected, in the price range.

Adam Linens Plain Dyed Poly Cotton Duvet Quilt Cover Bed Set With Pillow Cases All Sizes (Teal, Double)

Excellent value for money – thicker and more durable than most especially the new Trent ‘Soft touch’ that tear with a fingernail
I have bought 10 double quilt covers in the last year or so all in this Teal colour, you may think I’m mad but actually I have two Rescue greyhounds and they each have a double duvet and the Teal matches accessories in our lounge – I find it much easier to change their beds and take to the launderette- and they both love a clean bed !
Many covers tear very easily and because I buy frequently I have tried tried most sellers with the cheaper option and free postage being the attraction- however a lot of the time the covers are so thin they are practically transparent- not so with these
Will definitely return to this seller and buy more, happily recommend- they wash well too ( in the launderette I don’t put the dogs linen in my machine- lol )

Adams AdamLinens Plain Dyed PolyCotton Duvet Cover + Pillowcase(Black, Double)

For some reason I cannot get my review on the right item. I bought the king size orange duvet cover set.

This is cheap, and I like the orange colour (it is difficult to get bed linen in such a wide range of colours elsewhere). So it does fulfill what I wanted up to a point. But the fabric is thin and scratchy. After having been washed several times (once with bicarbonate of soda, which was a tip I found online for softening new bed linen), it remains uncomfortable to sleep under.

Also the opening to put the duvet in is not very big and when you are wrestling a king size duvet this makes it really really difficult to change the bed linen. Some duvet covers are able to be almost completely opened at the bottom. Why does this one have such a small opening?
